Webel Mediatronics Limited is a Govt. of West Bengal Company engaged for last 29 years in development, manufacturing and turn key project execution in the areas of Studio and Broadcasting Systems, Industrial Electronics and Information Technology Applications.

The Company was initially incorporated in 1981 as “WEBEL DAWN LIMITED” and later on transformed to “WEBEL MEDIATRONICS LIMITED” in 1990. It is a Subsidiary of West Bengal Electronics Industry Development Corporation Ltd. (WBEIDC Ltd.).

At present, the Authorized Capital of the Company is Rs. 6, 00,00,000  and the Issued, Subscribed & Paid-up Capital is Rs. 4,04,22,000. The main activities pursued by the Company after its incorporation are to carry on the business of designing, manufacturing Supply, Installation and Commissioning of different kinds of electronic and electrical equipments, components, sub-assemblies etc.

Presently, Webel Mediatronics Limited is serving niche areas of business such as Broadcasting, IT for disabled, Industrial Electronics and Strategic Electronics. Its products are used in more than 600 Doordarshan (DD) Kendra and All India Radio (AIR) Stations.

The Company has successfully completed supply of a wide range of Audio amplifiers, Audio Mixing Consoles, CD Players, UHF / VHF Antenna, Parabolic Dish Antenna, 500W UHF / VHF Low Power TV Transmitters, RN Terminals, Inmarsat Terminals, Captive Earth Stations, Up-Converters, 1KW FM Transmitters and 100W FM Transmitters with fully remote operation to AIR and DD. We are the first Company in the State to integrate and supply OB vans (Outdoor Broadcast Vans) for All India Radio.

The Company has developed and commercialized 50W / 100W FM Community Radio Station Systems and has already commissioned the same in educational institutions in the State of UP, Rajasthan , Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Assam, Uttarakhand, and Orissa.

The Company has successfully developed 250 KW Chopper Controller for Indian Navy and other products are being negotiated for development and commercialization for other Defense Establishments also.

The Company has sourced technology for Demand Based Traffic Control System i.e. UTCS & ATCS from Center for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Thiruvananthapuram and has successfully implemented it in Pune, Jaipur, Shillong, Patna and Ahmedabad.

We are the first Company in India to manufacture indigenously developed Demand Based Traffic Control System.

Besides this, the Company is also engaged in relocation of electrical utilities in various stretches of NH-31 & NH-31C between Siliguri & Silchar on a deposit work basis and completed successfully most of the jobs. 

The Company is also focusing on the benefit of IT for people with disabilities and has developed Software & Electronic Assistive devices for Visually Handicapped, Cerebral Palsy affected, Hearing Impaired, Autistic and Orthopedic handicapped persons.

WML Braille system has been installed at 190 Blind Schools of the country.

The Company is also considering to bring Motorized Wheel Chair for the orthopaedically handicapped. The Company has also taken up development of Text to Sign language for the Hearing Impaired persons. The Company will also manufacture Medical Electronics products as import substitutes to make the same more affordable for the common mass. The Company is also manufacturing 16 Key Voice Output Communication Aid for children affected with Cerebral Palsy. The Company has also developed multimedia based learning aid for Autistic children.

The Company, till date, has received various awards and recognitions for its contribution towards the development of the society and also for its success in the field of electronics and communication system. The Company has received National Award, Manthan Award, e-Governance Award etc.

The Company and ICEVI together have been selected for the 100 IT Innovators listing for 2007 in the Market Facing Innovation- Emerging Companies category, by NASSCOM for development for Math Braille software.

The Company is diversifying its business in the areas of Electro-mechanical actuators for Defence, in Medical electronics (Digital Hearing Aid, Motorized Wheelchair, Syringe Pump, etc.), LED chip based lights etc.

The company has experienced Electronics / Telecommunication / Computer engineers / developers in the field of Embedded Software design/ development, FPGA, Application Software Development using C, VC++, VB etc, Product Development, Digital / Analog Circuit Design, Prototyping, Productionising, Testing, Installation and after sales support.
