Webel Mediatronics limited has completed setting up of two High Power FM Stations at All India Radio, Itanagar and All India Radio, Port Blair on Turnkey basis. The contract included supply, installation, testing and commissioning. Apart from supply of 10 KW FM Transmitter and associated equipment in FM Chain, WML also executed 50 Meter self supported Mast and Transmitter / Studio Room.

The job involved system engineering, supply, testing, installation, integration, field trial and commissioning. The major equipment supplied, tested and integrated are 10 KW FM Transmitter - NAUTEL Canada Make, 40 kW 6 Bay FM Antenna - SWR Make, 15 KVA Dummy Load - BIRD USA, Dielectric Switch, Audio Input Rack consisting of receivers, monitor - all imported and from different countries. In the Power Equipment side 62.5 KVA DG Set, 62 KVA UPS, 62 KVA AVR and isolation transformer.

The biggest challenge the execution team faced was integration of all the system in chain, which originated from different sources. The system can be manned remotely using the supplied Burk USA Telemetry and Control Command System.

WML is also executing a similar project at ALL INDIA RADIO, Kohima this is even a bigger challenge considering the remoteness of the site.

WML can take up study of feasibility, system engineering, consultancy on procurement of required equipment and their specification, installation, commissioning and training of such High Power FM Transmitter Projects.
