Automatic Braille Embosser(BPRT)

The
Automatic Braille Embosser is Perkins Brailler
modified suitably to accept Computer Command and emboss automatically.
The Embosser has been automated for paper feeding and carriage
motion. The Embosser also can print inter line for both side
printing and has test mode facility for self-diagnosis.

Four numbers
of Embossers can be connected to the same computer and parallel
printing can be done for fast replication.

Ideally
suited for Institutes for the visually impaired to meet
regular demands of Braille Books.

The
Indian Language texts can be prepared using i-Leap software
and English texts through MS Word or Notepad. Braille Transcription
Software developed by Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur
and Webel Mediatronics Limited converts the texts to corresponding
Braille and print can be taken through the Automatic Braille
Embosser.

TactBraille is a Tactile Device and
an alternative to paper prints of Braille material.
This PC based touch reading device can be used to read Braille documents
stored in PC electronically. Accessing the document line by line
with a set of control switches like Start, Stop, Next Line Previous
Line etc. is supported.

Direct Braille
provides a computerized environment consisting of a masked keyboard,
Software, Modified Perkins Brailler attached with a Multimedia
PC. The Braille Writer software decodes the Braille code from
the keyboard and generates the Braille characters in display as
well in print. It also converts the braille codes into its corresponding
text which can be viewed printed using the text editing software
iLEAP.
The software
is provided with sound support in 13 Indian languages (Hindi,
Bengali, Assamese, Oriya, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi,
Gujarati, Punjabi, Nepali, and English) so any visually challenged
can make a Braille type entry and obtain the ink and Braille print
of the text accordingly.
DirectBraille
takes a big leap towards rehabilitating the visually challenged
people . With the help of this software they can work even in
a regular office environment, while being able to type, edit and
compile texts , apart from English, in any of the following

persons developed by Webel Mediatronics Limited.
- The Training CD-ROM covers simple
alphabet to complex contraction rules in lucid language which
is enhanced by audio. It is based on standard rulebooks followed
in India and abroad.
- In this interactive training
CD-ROM learners can test his/her learning in the comprehensive
self-test sections at various stages.
- This interactive braille training
program is available in English, Hindi, Bengali, Oriya, Assamese,
Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu and Malayalam
