UHF Band IV/V ( Frequency range 470-860 MHz, UHF frequency channel 21st to 68th ) transmitting antenna with power handling capacity up to 1 KW

This is an Omni Directional slot array antenna with eight collinear radiating slots to give required Omni Directional horizontal polarization & gain. The slots are in the direction parallel to the axis of cylindrical aluminium pipe of dia. 89.0/102.0 mm. The design dimentions of slots are such that the pipe acts as a radiator of horizontally polarized field, which is substantially Omni Directional for selected frequency channel. Beam Tilt is controlled through inter slot distance as and when required. The beam tilt is within 1 degree, however upon request the same can be provided up to 3 degree. Precise manufacturing of slots dimensions are provided which gives beam width up to 6 degree (approx). the selection of alluminium pipe dimension/type of joint/thickness is governed by consideration of strength & wind load. The internal construction uses nickel/silver plated brass or copper parts for power divider & matching network. Parallel feeder transmission lines rods feed the slots. Balloon transformer feeds the feeder, to match with the transmitter impedance 50ohms. The slots are covered with PTFE sheet to have weather protection. The antenna is DC grounded against lightning via lightning arrestor & earthing strip. The body of antenna is painted with white or ivory RAL ( Polyurethane Paint) against protection from climatic condition. For RF input 1 5/8" flange is connected and flanges are bolted with fasteners.
