Bus Travel Facilities:


Free travel on Bangalore transport service buses within Bangalore and on Karnataka State Road transport Service buses in rest of the State.

Financial Aid:
Financial Assistance for purchase of aids likes Braille Watches. If the family income does not exceed Rs. 6000/- per annum, 100 percent of the cost of the aid will be given; if the family is between Rs. 6000/- and Rs. 12000/-, 75 percent of the cost of the aid will be given; if the family income is between Rs. 6000/- and Rs. 12000/-, 75 percent of the cost of the aid will be given.

Professional Tax:
Professional tax not to be paid by blind employees.

Handicap Pension:
A blind person whose family income is Rs. 3600/- per annum and below is entitled to Handicap Pension of Rs. 50/- per month.

Conveyance Allowance:
An allowance of 5 per cent of basic pay to the maximum of Rs. 40/- per month is given to State government employees.

Reservation of Employment:
Two per cent of direct recruitment vacancies in all State Government enterprises reserved for disabled persons.

Hostel Facilities:
For working persons and trainees, free accommodation and allied services to borders in government hostels. Total messing expenses to be shared by the boarders.

Industrial Units:
Loan to the extent of Rs. 25000/- provided by Karnataka State Finance Corporation. There is a subsidy of 25 per cent on the loan.

NAB Karnataka Branch offers the following concessions.
NAB - Mobility Training Center - Bangalore:
Trainees will receive the following concessions:
a) Free board and lodging.
b) Both ways bus/train fare for outstation trainees.

NAB Rehabilitation and Basic Training- Bangalore :
a) Stipend of Rs. 100/- per month per trainee.
b) Accommodation provided at Government hostels for trainees from outside Bangalore. Free accommodation and ailed services at hostels. Messing expenses to be shared by trainees but limited to Rs. 70/- per month per trainee
