Concession in the APSRTC Buses:
Blind commuters are allowed free travel in city buses and they are allowed with their escorts to travel on 50% concession for their legitimate journeys in the mofussil services of APSRTC buses. (Circular No. 31/82-OPD dated 7.10.82 issued by the vice Chairman and managing Director of APSRTC deals with this.)

Incentive for marriages between blind and non-blind persons:
The govt. of Andhra Pradesh gives and incentive of Rs. 3000 towards marriages between blind and non-blind couples. {Circular No. G.O.M.S. No. 165 dated 17.6.78 issued by Section officer Welfare (G) Dept. of Andhra Predesh deals with this.}

Housing Accommodation:
Housing Municipal Administration and urban Development Department reserves 1% of housing accommodation to the physically handicapped of higher income group and 2% housing accommodation to law Income group. (Circular No. G.O.M.S. No.1, Housing dated 16.1.81 issued by Section Officer housing Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department. Govt. of Andhra Pradesh provides the required information.)

Exemption in payment of professional tax:
Blind people are exempted from the payment of professional tax by Govt. of Andhra Pradesh. The required information is available in their circular No. G.O.R.T No. 1899 M. A . dated 31.10.86 issued by Section Officer housing Municipal Administration and Urban Developments (M1) Dept.

Unemployment allowance:
Unemployment blind people are paid a monthly unemployment allowance of Rs. 30/- by the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh {circular No. G.O.M.S. No. 135 dated 24.9.1981 issued by Section Officer Social Welfare (G2) Dept. for this.}
