a) According to circular No. 24/1/17/80-3GS III dated 16th December 1980 there is reservation of 3% posts for the physically handicapped, out of that 1% for the blind. b) One Post of chair caner at each districts Headquarters and two at Chandigarh have been exclusively reserved for the blind. c) In the Haryana Public Service Commission Regulations 1973 in schedule under item (32) the following item has been inserted; "(33) such class I and II posts as are to be filled in by blind persons" (Gazette notification No. GSR42) Grant of Conveyance allowance to blind and orthopaedically handicapped employees to Haryana Government he should not be removed from the job. He should be provided with a suitable job under the Haryana Govt. Free bus travel for the blind in haryana Roadways according to the circular no. 2547-59/C.A.-4 dated 8-7-81. Preference in the grant of residential accommodation to blind employees of the Haryana Govt. There is a 0.5% reservation for the blind in the Haryana Housing Board and HUDA regarding the grant of houses. The Haryana Govt. to the blind is providing unemployment allowance. Rs. 50/- to those who have passed Std. VIII; Rs. 100/- to graduates and Rs. 150/- to post-Graduates. There is a provision of pension of Rs. 50/- for the blind that are above 21 and whose income does not exceed Rs. 75/-. Then
there are several concessions with regard to the grant of loan for self-employment.
