Vocational Rehabilitation Centres for Handicapped
 

The Vocational Rehabilitation Centres for Handicapped under Ministry of   Labour, Directorate General Employment & Training, Govt. of India are functioning across the country to:

  • Extend all possible rehabilitation aid to physically challenged for grounding   them as economically independent citizen.
  • Plan a suitable vocational training program assessing the physical, mental, social, economic and psychological capabilities of a physically challenged person
  • Organising Rehabilitation Camps
  • Create community awareness on social responsibility towards physically impaired

Staffed with qualified professionals and equipped with adequate infrastructure these centres render 

  • EVALUATION SERVICES 
    Physical/Medical, Psychological, Socio-economic
  • REFERRAL SERVICES   
    Guidance/ Counseling
    Referring physically Impaired to other organisations which would help in rehabilitation
    Follow up
  • NON FORMAL TRAINING   
    In plant vocational training in different suitable trades to empower them as competent employee
  • EMPLOYMENT SERVICES   
    Placement in suitable job against the reserved quota in group "C" and "D" posts which is notified to this Centre by Government and other establishments.
  • SELF EMPLOYMENT SERVICES   
    Placement in suitable self employment activities and assisting availing financial support from Banks and other financial Organisations.
