Vocational Rehabilitation Centres for Handicapped under Ministry
of Labour, Directorate General Employment & Training,
Govt. of India are functioning across the country to:

Extend
all possible rehabilitation aid to physically challenged for grounding
them as economically independent citizen.

Plan
a suitable vocational training program assessing the physical, mental,
social, economic and psychological capabilities of a physically
challenged person

Organising
Rehabilitation Camps

Create
community awareness on social responsibility towards physically
impaired
Staffed
with qualified professionals and equipped with adequate infrastructure
these centres render

Referring physically Impaired to other organisations which would
help in rehabilitation

FORMAL TRAINING
In plant vocational training in different suitable trades to empower
them as competent employee

EMPLOYMENT
SERVICES
Placement in suitable job against the reserved quota in group "C"
and "D" posts which is notified to this Centre by Government
and other establishments.

SELF
EMPLOYMENT SERVICES
Placement in suitable self employment activities and assisting availing
financial support from Banks and other financial Organisations.
