Tailoring Workshop Late Serenebai M. Banajee donated her vast and beautiful bungalow situated at Jogeshwari, aptly named "Chateau Dieu" (Castle of God), for the cause of the blind. The National Association for the Blind instituted an industrial home for visually impaired men in this bungaiow, in the name of Muncherjee Nowrojee Banajee. Capstan Lathe Workshop
The "Chateau Dieu" Home
The Muncherjee Nowrojee Banajee Industrial Home for the Blind, as it is now known, started functioning from July 1956. ln the Same year the Institution was registered under the Bombay public Trusts Act, 1950, and became recognised by the Maharashtra State Government.
Chair Canework During succeeding years, a shed and a three-storey building were built beside the bungalow, where various training activities in different industrial crafts were conducted. These were canework , handloom weaving, light engineering, tailoring and woodwork. Training was also given in the fields of instrumental music and handicraft work. Thus a unique service was provided to thousands of visually handicapped men, coming from all parts of the country

Hanger Making The Home admits visually handicapped men, irrespective of caste or creed, and rains them for four years in the different sections. The trainees are provided with free boarding and lodging facilities and are also afforded other welfare amenities.
